Happy 3rd birthday to therapy dog Jack! Jack is a mini Poodle that certified as a goal-directed therapy dog in January 2025. Jack volunteers at a number of programs including Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, the Chicago Children's Advocacy Center, the Office of Emergency Management and Communications, and more. He recently learned to play the piano and his favorite trick is to "dance" - especially if treats are involved! Happy birthday, Jack.

Gary and Sheila knew from the very beginning that Payton had the qualities to make an exceptional therapy dog. They began training with Canine Therapy Corps to prepare him for therapy dog certification. After a few attempts, Payton passed and officially became a certified therapy dog. The rest is history! Payton continues to spread smiles, comfort and warmth to everyone he meets.

Alice and Lola have volunteered at many different types of programs and events, but one of her favorite memories is at The Nettelhorst School. At one of their visits, Lola was able to connect with a young child who was very afraid of dogs, gaining her trust and helping her overcome that fear.

We love sharing stories like this one and hope you will consider making a donation in honor the impact Lola and all of our other therapy dogs have on the participants we serve.
