: Our volunteers are our unsung heroes of Operation Backpack. This year we had over 80 volunteers come to our office and help sort, stuff, and fill backpacks! We are so grateful for their support and willingness to jump in and help ensure that Operation Backpack is a success and that kids go back to school with everything they need to be successful.

The smiles say it all.

As we wrap up Operation Backpack 2026, we are grateful for everyone who made this year's drive possible. Whether you purchased a backpack from our online store, hosted a drive at your workplace, or volunteered your time to help fill backpacks, your support made a lasting impact.

The reason behind Operation Backpack is simple: every kid deserves to start the school year with the tools they need to success in the classroom. A brand-new filled backpack can bring confidence, excitement, and a sense of belonging to a kid and that's what you did!

Thank you for helping us create these moments and prepare the next generation of leaders!

School is officially in session, and we have distributed our last backpack for the 2026 Operation Backpack season! This year we were able to distribute more than 2,100 backpacks to the children we serve and children in the communities we're part of. This accomplishment wouldn't have been possible without the support of SO MANY! We had over 30 companies and individuals' partner with us to collect backpacks and create drives through our online store.

Thank you to all the companies, teams, and individuals that supported Operation Backpack and the children we serve, we're so grateful for your support. Your generosity is inspiring the next generation of leaders!

This month we're celebrating Veronica Messenger, our Leasing Specialist/Receptionist at Hope Manor Joliet. As the first point of contact for residents, guests, and community members, she greets everyone with a smile, creates a sense of belonging, and helps make our community feel like home. Her dedication, positive spirit, and trusted relationships with residents make her an invaluable part of our team, and she is always ready to lend a hand in making resident events a success. Thank you, Veronica, for five years of compassionate service and commitment to our mission!
