A Thanksgiving Message from Mayor Trey Deck

This week reminds us how lucky we are to live in a small town where people truly care about each other. Chickamauga is a family — and when one of us does something great, we all feel the pride.

Our Gordon Lee Trojans have earned their spot in the Elite Eight, and we couldn’t be more proud of these young men, their coaches, the cheer squad, band, and everyone who has supported them along the way. They’ve worked hard, they’ve stayed humble, and they’ve brought our whole town together.

As they travel down to Worth County, let’s keep them in our prayers. Safe travels, a good clean game, and the chance to walk off that field knowing they gave it everything they had. Win or lose, they’re already champions in our eyes.

While we celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope we all take a moment to appreciate the blessings around us — family, friends, community, and the freedom we enjoy every day. Let’s be thankful for one another and continue lifting each other up.

Happy Thanksgiving to every household in Chickamauga. Let’s support our Trojans and let them hear us loud and proud.

Go Trojans!

Here is one more Building Chickamauga’s Future Together

As we approach the upcoming election, I want to recognize the dedicated service of our City Council members — David Jones, Rhonda Jacks, and Evitt Parish. Their leadership and commitment have been instrumental in guiding Chickamauga through growth and progress.

We are also excited about the new developments taking place in our community. The addition of 1885 Grill and Railhead Station reflects the continued investment in Chickamauga and highlights the opportunities ahead for both residents and visitors. These businesses not only enhance our local economy but also strengthen the sense of community that makes our city so special.

Chickamauga is a city with a proud past and a promising future. Together, we will continue building on this foundation to ensure that our community remains a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family.

✅ As election day approaches, I encourage every citizen to stay engaged, support our local businesses, and make your voice heard at the ballot box. Together, we can continue shaping Chickamauga’s future.
