Great News! The E. 20th Street Rehabilitation Project is nearing completion, and the most disruptive roadway work is now behind us!

Nighttime road work will continue the week of August 31, while crews complete striping along the corridor. Please excuse any noise if you’re near the roadway during that time.

Daytime work will take place in early September as crews install new street signs and reflective roadway markers.

The traveling public can expect traffic control to be in place as the remaining work activities are completed.

Thank you to everyone who has traveled through, lived near, or supported local businesses in the area during construction; we appreciate your patience as crews complete these final improvements.

This project was made possible with Measure H funds.

The City of Chico welcomes race fans to the 72nd Gold Cup!

Tonight, 50-ish Interstate Batteries High Limit Sprint Cars begin a three-day battle for $100,072 in Chico.

Goats will be returning to Lindo Channel and will complete grazing on 33 acres from Manzanita Ave. to the Madrone bridge.
Capra Environmental Services Corp. provides 200-500 goats, which potentially can graze approximately one acre per day. Grazing areas will be cordoned off with an electric fence and warning signs will be posted throughout for public safety.
Utilizing goats for fuel reduction helps to reduce vegetative fuel load, especially ladder fuels that carry flames to treetops, breaks up continuous grass and helps to reduce speed and intensity in case of wildfire.
A herdsman and guard dogs will also be onsite 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Where possible, paths and trails will remain open to the public. Members of the community are requested to please not enter closed areas and keep children and pets away from the electric fencing, and to not feed or disturb the goats and guard dogs.

Join us for an evening celebrating Chico's vibrant arts, culture, food, and beverage community. Presented in partnership between The Barn at Meriam Park and the Chico Arts Commission, this unique event brings together local artists, musicians, and community members for a memorable night benefiting the Chico Arts Commission and Chico Arts and Culture Foundation.

Admission is free and open to the public.

Enjoy live music from local bands as you explore the vendors and browse a special collection of artwork, including the iconic City of Chico COBA boards that were once displayed throughout Downtown. The evening culminates with the COBA Board Art Auction, where attendees can bid on these one-of-a-kind works while supporting local arts and culture initiatives.
