For nearly 60 years, Community Action Volunteers in Education (CAVE) has connected Chico State students with meaningful, student-led service in the Chico community.
Each semester, more than 150 student volunteers and approximately 35 student leaders support 9 local community partners, providing free K–10 tutoring for local youth, assisting K–12 classrooms and afterschool programs, preserving and restoring Bidwell Park, supporting local animal shelters, strengthening the Hungry Wildcat Food Pantry operations, and assisting emergency shelters and transitional housing programs.
