Veterans Garden Project

Veterans Garden Project To provide veterans and their families a "hands on" gardening experience. Encouraging social engagement between veterans and the community as a whole.

To provide veterans and their families of all generations and abilities an accessible place and means to learn or hone their personal gardening skills while creating a large and productive sustainable garden within the heart of the Humboldt Community Garden. The goal of the Veterans Garden Project is to promote an overall
holistic, therapeutic and educational environment for veterans and their fa

milies through an actual "hands-on" gardening/greenhouse experience. The garden will foster environmental stewardship, contribute to food sustainability and food security, advance nutrition education, and produce a supplemental food source for veterans and their families while encouraging social engagement between veterans and the community as a whole.
