My Honey Run Covered Bridge Park is dog-friendly! 🐕

But while you're here, make sure you BARK:

🐾 Bag up puppy p**p and take it away
🐾 Always keep dogs on-leash
🐾 Respect wildlife
🐾 Know when to leave if your fido is too hot

I love it when furry friends come and visit, but just make sure you BARK in my park!

In honor of , I'm taking you waaaay back to 1886 when I was first built.

Here are five popular sayings from the Victorian era:

🔹 Amen corner = a California term for church
🔹 Butter upon bacon = too extravagant
🔹 Chuckaboo = a close friend
🔹 Coffee-sisters = gossipy women
🔹 Mafficking = getting rowdy in the streets

Hey, my chuckaboos and coffee-sisters: come visit me after amen corner on Sunday. Bring a picnic with butter upon bacon fare to eat sitting by the creek instead of spending the afternoon mafficking in Chico. 😆

⏰ It's that time of year again....I've got new seasonal visiting hours!

Now through March 31, 2027, I'm open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Have you ever wondered why I'm called the "Honey Run Covered Bridge"?

Fun fact: I was actually named the Carr Bridge until I was covered in 1901.

Since the OG version of me was built in 1886, there have been many theories about how I got the name Honey Run.

I loved reading this one in the Chico ER ♥️
