When someone moves into a home, they're often rebuilding more than just where they live. They're rebuilding routines, managing their health, finding employment, reconnecting with family, learning to budget, and navigating overwhelming systems.

That's why supportive services are at the heart of what we do.

Our team works alongside residents, connecting them with resources, advocating for their needs, and helping them overcome the barriers that could otherwise put their housing at risk.

Today is the final day to save on your seat at the 2026 North State Housing Summit!

On September 25th, leaders, professionals, advocates, and community members from across the North State will come together around a shared challenge: how do we create more housing opportunities and stronger, more stable communities throughout our region?

The solutions won't come from one organization or one sector. They come from bringing different perspectives to the table, learning from what's working, and building the partnerships needed to turn ideas into action.

If you've been thinking about attending, today is the day to register.

Early Bird tickets are $35 through the end of today, August 25th. After today, standard admission increases to $50. Nonprofit and student tickets remain $15.

We use words like “client” and “resident” every day. But those words only describe one small part of someone’s story.

A client may be working toward stable housing with support from CHAT. A resident may have recently moved into a place they can finally call home.

But neither word tells you who that person is, what they’ve experienced, what they’re working toward, or what having a stable home can make possible in their life.

That’s why our work has never been just about housing.

From the first conversation to the day someone receives their keys, and long after they’ve settled in, our team is there with support, resources, and connection to help people build lasting stability.

Because housing may be an important milestone, but it’s the person behind the milestone who matters most.

Some of the best solutions begin with a conversation.

The North State Housing Summit was created to bring those conversations into one room. To connect people who may approach housing from different perspectives but share a common goal: creating stronger, more stable communities across our region.

On September 25th, leaders and community members from housing, healthcare, local government, nonprofits, development, business, funding, and advocacy will come together to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and build relationships that can lead to real progress beyond the summit itself.

Because creating more housing opportunities isn't the work of one organization, one industry, or one community. It takes collaboration across the North State.

One of our favorite moments is when a client becomes a resident.

It means paperwork has turned into a lease.

Hope has turned into a set of keys.

A housing search has become a way to find a place to call home.

It's more than a change in terminology. It's a milestone that represents hard work, perseverance, and the beginning of a new chapter.

And while moving in is a major accomplishment, our support doesn't stop there. We continue walking alongside our residents as they build stable, successful futures.
