NOTICE to those attending the Sportsmans Bash on Saturday:

This Summer's record rainfalls have left areas of the Chicora Community Park extremely wet in certain areas which have not dried even during the recent sunshine days. This will affect some
of the activities at our Sportsman's Day Bash tomorrow, Saturday, August 29, 2026.

The parking areas, including the "field area" behind the ballfield remain usable, but certain areas have been cordoned off near the entrance/exit due to the fact that they are extremely muddy. We have spread stone at the entrance/exit, and as long as patrons avoid the cordoned off areas and do not try to take a shortcut to beat other traffic there should be no problems.

The area across the creek from the stage in the main park where a lot of our patrons erect their tents also has quite a few areas that are extremely "swampy" that have been cordoned off.
There remains ample room for tents but, you may not get your usual spot. Although some of you have driven side-by sides, golf carts and other off-road vehicles into the area across the creek
from the stage in the main park in past years, you will not be able to do so this year due to the field conditions. You may wish to drop passengers off at a gate area and then park in one of the
regular vehicle parking areas.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation as we look forward to an enjoyable day at this year's
event!
