It is with heavy heart to let everyone know that one of our board members, Mark Gauthier, passed away Thursday morning 01/25/2024 at his home. Mark came to our shelter last year and worked through our program and got his own apartment. Durning that time, Mark and his children became family with the CRC. Mark would come in and volunteer as much as he could. Mark also could cook some amazing food. I personally will miss his homemade gumbo. Mark then became one of our board members.

Mark was full-blood Indian and loved his heritage. The one wish Mark had when he died was that he wanted to go home. Mark wants to go back home to Wisconsin to Red Cliff Indian Reservation.

Mark also had 2 beautiful children and they were his world. He would come into the CRC and tell everyone about stories of what his children had accomplished. He loved his children so much.

Unfortunately, Mark's passing was unexpected. The family will need all your prayers, help, and support. If anyone is able to help the family with funeral expenses, please send those donations to Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Thank you and have a blessed day

I want to apologize. I'm canceling our Revamp Meeting today. I just found out that I am covid+. I will be rescheduling the meeting for Thursday the 18th at 11:15 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. I apologize for the inconvenience. It seems like when you're doing God's work, the devil will do everything it can to stop it. I will never give up.

DONT FORGET WE ARE HAVING A REVAMP MEETING FOR THE Community Resource Center. ITS IS AT 10AM AT CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH.

The Community Resource Center is going to be making alot of changes. We have a committee put together to discuss what we are going to change and how we are going to do it. We will be holding a meeting at Calvary Baptist Church January 11th at 10 a.m. if you would like to be present for the meeting and give your input anybody is welcome to come. We cannot wait to see what our Heavenly Father has planned for our City.

So I know that you heard that the CRC is closing on December 31st. It's with a heavy heart to say yes this is true, but the community is coming together to try and save our Community Resource Center. We are in hopes to open back up in February. Not sure all the changes we are going to make but we want our community to support us as a new and revamped Community Resource Center. So I'm going to ask what would you like to see as our Chillicothe Community Resource Center change or do better?

Also I ask that please do not dump or donate clothes and household goods to the CRC. We will only take hygiene supplies, food, sheets, blankets, wash clothes, towels, and MONEY donations. We are working with Helping Hands, Threads, Calvary Clothing Room, Lifepoint food pantry, and Salvation Army to get our clients needs met. Thank you everyone for our past support and thank you all for the future support!!!!
