When we have to close for snow days, this does cause issues with deliveries from our suppliers. So there will be menu changes probably into next week.

This will be the menu at the Senior Center for the next 2 days!

Th Ross County Senior Citizen's Center Western Avenue office will be open today. Please use caution on the parking lot it does still have some snow and slick spots, and ice melter does not help in these cold temperatures.

We will get to as many clients today as we can reach safety. If there are some we cannot reach, we will be doing another telephone well check to make sure they are doing ok and have what they need. Keeping everyone safe and making sure everyone is doing well is our main goal.

Winter can move on anytime now…. come on spring!🙏🏻🙌

After much thought and discussion. Since Ross County is still a level 2 snow emergency at this time the Ross County Senior Center will be CLOSED TODAY JANUARY 28th, DUE TO THE LEVEL 2, POOR ROAD AND PARKING LOT CONDITIONS AND SUBZERO TEMPERATURES. All activities are also cancelled for tomorrow
Our parking lot has been cleared, however there is a lot of issues with re-freezing and ice melter will not help this situation with the extremely cold temperatures. Some of the main roads are good and clear, but many county and country roads and driveways are not.

I want to give a big shout out and thank you to my home care staff, home delivered meals drivers, and transportation workers who have kept in contact with their clients each day doing well checks during this weather emergency in our area. Thank you all for keeping on top of things. I appreciate you greatly! 👏🙏🏻💕

The Ross County Senior Citizen's Center will be CLOSED AGAIN TOMORROW January 27th, 2026 due to winter weather conditions and extremely cold temperatures .

I am asking those who can again to please check on your elderly family, friends and neighbors. After clearing the 10 inches of snow I had to deal with this afternoon I can only imagine how some of our seniors are doing.

To my staff members… please contact all of your clients as you have been instructed to during a snow day and report any issues to your supervisor or me.

Again…What people don’t think about sometimes is that when the main roads finally get clear, and become able to be traveled safely…. Many of our seniors live in country areas in the county with driveways and side walks that are unable to be taken care of by the homebound senior. At times many driveways, sidewalks or entryways have not been touched.
The meal delivery drivers, home health aides and transportation workers, go above and beyond more than anyone realizes. I am thankful for all of them and the job they do because they care about the elderly! Thank you for all that you do and the way you help people daily. 🥰 Thanks for your understanding! Everyone stay safe and warm. 🤗

The Ross County Senior Citizen's Center will be CLOSED TOMORROW January 26th, 2026 due to winter weather conditions. I am asking those who can to please check on your elderly family, friends and neighbors. In anticipation of this storm coming we sent out a notice about possible closings and where to find them, the possibility of menu changes in the coming weeks and a suggested list of items to try and keep on hand during this storming.
