Illinois Valley Central High School competes in the North Central Illinois Conference, and is a member school in the Illinois High School Association. The school has one state championship on record in team athletics and activities: Boys Baseball in 2005-2006 (A). IVCHS coops with nearby Dunlap High School for some athletics (Boys and Girls Swimming and Diving).

Here's our Thursday burning question: Does anyone know how (or when) the tradition of putting an outhouse at the top of the IVC bonfire began?

Here's a pic of the volunteers who built the bonfire (who were almost done, notice the outhouse isn't at the top yet). Be sure you thank them for their hard work today.
