Ross County | Building A Better Bridge Street

Crews kept up the momentum on Bridge Street this week, making progress on concrete work and getting ready for future paving.

Sidewalk pours are now underway on the west side near the Chillicothe Mall. Crews also continued building new access points and islands for businesses on the west side of Bridge Street. During the day, crews worked to remove old concrete pavement to prepare the area for upcoming pours.

Overnight Thursday into Friday, crews completed another major concrete pour between Stewart Road and the U.S. 35 east off‑ramp. Earlier in the week, traffic was shifted onto the newly finished concrete pavement from southbound Bridge Street to the U.S. 35 west on‑ramp.

Businesses along the corridor remain open and accessible. For travel scenarios, live cameras, FAQs, and additional project details, visit transportation.ohio.gov/BridgeStreet.

Ross County | Building A Better Bridge Street

After a streak of perfect weather, crews were dodging some pop-up showers and storms this week. That didn’t stop the work, but did push the start of a larger concrete pour back a day.

The first pour with the paver occurred Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Crews were able to pour the first slab between Stewart Road and the U.S. 35 east off-ramp to Bridge Street.

Thursday night into Friday, a second pour occurred in the area between the U.S. 35 east exit ramp and the entrance ramp to U.S. 35 west.

During the day, crews have continued working to finish pouring access points for businesses along the southbound side of Bridge Street.

Businesses along the corridor remain open and accessible. You can find multiple travel scenarios, live cams, frequently asked questions, and information about the project at transportation.ohio.gov/BridgeStreet.
