In the late 70's early 80's we played a game called cat chase. We would all meet up as soon as it was dark in on of our neighborhoods. Usually at least one kid wasn't allowed to leave his block at night so we would play there. This area was one of our favorites.
We would divide into teams. One team would count, the other would hide. Basically like group tag with a home base. You had to catch every member of the other team and guard them once caught.
This side porch was our jail. I don't think we ever knew who lived here, but they let us play here. Sometime 20+ kids running through back yards screaming, jumping fences, and no one ever complained. We were allowed in everyone's yard. These were good times growing up in Chillicothe.

High school was a crazy experience. One year I went to the wrong class, not sure how I got mixed up. But the crazy thing about it, I happen to be in class with a boy named Audie Johnson. When his name was called for attendance I thought they said my name! So it took almost the entire class to realize I was in the wrong place!

We had wars in the alley between paint and Caldwell. We made our own battle gear and suits! We beat on each other with sticks and rocks, we took prisoners, and at the end of the day we were all still friends as we all went home for the evening. War would have to wait till tomorrow!
