Chillicothe, MO. - Recently, the 129th Field Artillery Regiment, Bravo Battery, welcomed their new commander, Captain Shelby Johnson.

Capt. Johnson's story is unique but not uncommon in the Missouri Army National Guard, as she and her husband, Captain Elliot Johnson, serve in Mo. Guard.

Hard work always pays off. Below are the exceptional Soldiers who
have earned well-deserved awards for their unwavering dedication.

-PFC Seifkas, SSG Jenkins, SGT Cooper, and SPC Weinmann receiving MOCOM Awards.

-SPC Jenkins, SGT Allen, and SPC McMillin receiving Army Achievement Awards.

-SPC Corneilson, SPC Jefferson, and SGT McCulley receiving Battalion Coins.

-PV2 Chase and PV2 Siefkas being promoted to PFC prior to the start of Annual Training 24.

-The NCO of the Quarter is SSG Adam Jenkins for being the best Chief in the BN. SSG Jenkins showcased unparalleled leadership by addressing and resolving key firing battery and FDC issues. Working beyond his rank, SSG Jenkins strategic interventions lead to 100% improvement in firing accuracy and computational procedures, solidifying his reputation as an indispensable leader and problem solver.

-The Soldier of the Month for June 2024 is SPC Harry Jenkins. He has demonstrated his abilities from the start of Annual Training by handling all radio traffic on various stations, establishing battery communications, and sends clear, concise missions to the Guns. SPC Jenkins encourages newer Soldiers to shadow him as they enter the battery. He explains tasks clearly, answers questions, and is patient. SPC Jenkins works as the battery box operator in the Fire Direction Center sets the standard for the lower enlisted. Their Chief often references his work for others to strive for. This standard helps facilitate the Battalion’s mission.

Bravo, your hard work over the weekend is greatly appreciated. Keep up the superb effort and dedication, and you will see the results of your labor pay off in the long run. Let's continue to strive for excellence and prove we are the best. Our soldiers have put in some serious effort over this weekend to prepare for Annual Training. Keep pushing yourselves and make it count! Bravo persevers!

Let's congratulate Bravo's Soldier and NCO of the Month for March!

SPC Quentin Mammen. SPC Mammen has distinguished himself by setting the example and completing task to the best of his ability. SPC Mammen embodies the Army Value of leading by example. He goes out of his way to train and educate new Soldiers and not to leave anyone out of the loop. SPC Mammen has shown attributes that show he is a competent and dependable Soldier. SPC Mammen is just one of the many great Soldiers here at Bravo Battery.

SGT Zachary Allen. SGT Allen has distinguished himself by setting up and leading the Artillery Skills Proficiency Test (ASPT) for every 13B in the Battery. This enable his leaders to properly evaluate the Soldiers being trained and led to much more training time for junior Soldiers throughout the unit while maximizing the extent of the training. SGT Allen embodies the Army Value of Duty by being able to carry out his assigned tasks and being able to accomplish tasks as part of a complex team. SGT Allen is just one of the many great NCO’s here at Bravo Battery.
