It’s Teacher Appreciation Week! There aren’t enough words to express what teachers have meant in my life, both while growing up and now, with 22 years in schools. Educators give so much to all of us and future generations. It’s inspiring. I’m honored to work alongside these incredible humans. If you haven’t yet, thank an educator in your life, your child’s life, or take a minute to find that awesome former teacher on FB. Let them know what they mean to you. 🍎💙

Well, we finished “sine die” as it’s called. As with every session there were ups and downs. This session was particularly challenging, but I’ve never been more proud to represent my district and work with these two amazing women! . 💙💙

In the last hours of session, in the shadiest of political maneuvers, a bill that will cripple our teachers’ union passed and is on the way to the Gov’s desk. We should all be calling the Governor to ask for his veto. 208-334-2100 Dismantling teachers’ unions will hurt educators and school districts. I’m grateful to my union and my fellow educators who advocate and lobby, and who represent their members in and out of school. I see you. The fight isn’t over. ❤️

I got to visit my students Friday, celebrate my son’s graduation from lineman college, and spend time with both my kids (harder to do with a kiddo away at school). All in all, a weekend to recharge and face the last week of session. ❤️
