At Main Street Marketplace & Meeting Place, our work is possible because people in our community choose to show up in all kinds of ways.
Yes, financial donations are incredibly important. As a nonprofit, those gifts help us provide programs, purchase needed supplies, support local families, create opportunities, and continue doing the work our community depends on.
But giving doesn’t always have to come from your wallet. Your time, energy, skills, and willingness to help are just as valuable. ❤️
You can make a difference by:
🥕 Volunteering with Food Pharmacy and helping pack nutritious food kits for participants.
📦 Volunteering at the Marketplace to help unload and restock weekly produce deliveries.
🛒 Purchasing an item from our Food Pharmacy Amazon Wishlist to help provide supplies for upcoming classes.
🍽️ Providing a meal for Getting Ahead North in Salisbury or Getting Ahead South in China Grove and helping create a welcoming space where participants can gather around the table before class.
Being part of a community means more than simply living in the same place. It means noticing what is needed, finding a way to contribute, and understanding that each of us has something valuable to give.
