Throwback Thursday: In May, our fourth grade students brought California history alive with their 49er Day! The students made butter, cornhusk dolls, leather bracelets, and hand dipped candles. The students learned how to stake a claim, pan for gold, square dance, and play games. It was such a fun way to learn history.

During the last week of school, Hidden Trails was honored to celebrate the retirement of our favorite substitute teacher, Dawn Dillingham. She has served CVUSD since 1999. She has built a strong relationship with our teachers and students, and has played a vital role in their education. She will be missed by all! Happy retirement Dawn.

Another amazing assembly provided by our PTA. Wheels Squared BMX Show provided jaw-dropping stunts and tricks. Our students cheered and were in awe every time professional stunt rider, Jared Eberwein, flew through the air. Our brave principal and assistant principal sat nervously as Jared performed a backflip over them!!

It was such an honor to have the Senior Class of 2026 come back and walk the halls of where their education began. Our former Red Hawks were treated like celebrities by our current students. They high-fived, cheered, were asked to sign yearbooks, played handball and basketball, given snacks, and played on the jungle gym. We are so proud of these Seniors and all of their accomplishments! Go Red Hawks!

Our Wednesday Rally included a “Round Up for the Test Rodeo” skit performed by our student leadership. They taught us how to “round up” our skills for math and language arts to be successful on our state test. State testing begins next week and our students are ready to shine! Let’s Go!!!
