Chino Valley Fire Explorers (Post 911)

Chino Valley Fire Explorers (Post 911) The Explorer program is a component of the Chino Valley Independent Fire District and a division of the Boy Scouts of America (Learning for Life).
(5)

The program is designed to introduce the Explorer to the fire service as a possible career through training and participation is actual situations. Explorers have the opportunity to work with the community, ride-along with paramedic engine companies, compete in explorer muster events, and attend the Inland Empire Fire Explorer Academy. The Post Advisors are all full-time members of the Fire Distri

ct and oversee 35 Explorers. Recruitment occurs in January and June. The position of Explorer is a volunteer position, but can pay many dividends in experience and training for an individual interested in a career in the fire service.

Welcome back Explorers…I hope you had a wonderful holiday season! Our first meeting will be on January 17, 2017. This notification gives you plenty of time to have: properly styled/groomed hair; a uniform that is properly sized, cleaned, and pressed; and spit shined boots.

Thank you Explorers and parents for the service and sacrifice that you gave the Chino Valley Community in 2016. It was a great year!

Here’s to a new year, full of new adventures, and new opportunities!

Go Post 911!

Five Explorers from Post 911 attended the 25th Annual IEFEA (Inland Empire Fire Explorer Association) Academy this past week, November 30-December 4. Our Explorers represented themselves, Post 911, and the Fire District well!
This Academy would not have been possible without the continued support from the Chino Valley Fire District, The Chino Valley Fire Foundation, and the Explorer advisors: FF/PM Pope, FF/PM Nuber, and FF/PM Vasquez.
