It’s that time of the year again! Wreathes Across America!

Wreathes Across America is coming up hot and fast and we can only do this with community support! We need YOUR help go cover as many sites as possible at Riverside National Cemetery! Each wreathe is $15 and a small part does support our unit and our three Congressionally chartered missions.

To donate and for the ceremony in December, see below;

Ceremony: There is a ceremony at Riverside National Cemetery, December 17th, 2022 beginning at 9:00am. (Covid should be well behind us to not have a drive thru but an actual ceremony!) Following the ceremony, the public is invited to help place all the wreathes that were sponsored.

(**Please note, individual grave specific requests cannot be taken due to the volume of requests. We never have enough sponsorships yet still to cover the entire cemetery so different areas areas are rotated through each year. Thanks for your understanding!)

California Wing is honored to produce another pilot!

Cadet Second Lieutenant Luke Both of has successfully completed the Cadet Wings Program, a scholarship program provided to eligible CAP cadets interested in obtaining their Private Pilot’s Certificate!

In order for a cadet to earn their wings, they must be mentored by a Senior Member and pilot. California Wing would like to thank Major Robin Kim for dedicating their time to teach and encourage our cadets!

This Memorial Day, we honor all those who have lost their lives in military service to our nation. By marching in parades from small towns to the District of Columbia, we show our appreciation for the cost of freedom. We lead the National Memorial Day Parade with a cadet color guard and nearly 100 CAP auxiliary airmen participating. This parade airs on several national networks, so check your local television listings to see if, or when, your local station will air the parade broadcast.
