If you get a chance to thank Commissioner Devers for his conrete work at the Port, please do.

If you get a chance to tell Jason what a good job he’s doing building docks, please do.

And if you can stop by the office to tell Director Wright what a fantastic job he’s doing making sure everything happens around there? I would very much appreciate it.

Only four months into 2026 and the Port of Chinook has so many wins under its belt.

First dredging cycle with our new $500k dredge.

$2.7 million scheduled for major marina dredging.

$1.6 million for the Chinook Channel THIS year now.

And two avenues of applications are in for fiscal 2027 for Channel as well.

We have major electrical expansions about to begin.

We have the first new docks being built ( for the boat ramp to start ) and will be entering the era of standard production docks to heal our marina intelligently and systematically.

Everything we are doing leads to income increases for the Port and we are fulfilling our plan for a stable business oriented municipal corporation.

Congressionally Directed Spending application and Letters of Support for Dredge Chinook Channel are submitted.

I am so honored and excited to be presenting on our dredging strategies and successes at the Washington Public Ports Association spring conference!

Woohoo!

If I posted my presentation here do you think you’d be interested?

Congressionally Directed Spending applications are extended to April 8th. This allows me more time to collect MORE letters of support for the Chinook Channel dredging ask.

If you would like to write a letter of support to see the Chinook Channel dredged then please address your letter as being to “Honorable Senators and Representatives”. Then list your personal concerns and ask to support the assignment of funds to the Chinook Channel.

You can drop your letters at the Port office and I will pick them up!

Thanks for considering this!

Dredging has concluded for this season and our goals in our allocated area have been reached.

For this short season you should see better commercial access to the fuel dock, better commercial access to pier 2 and the corner at A dock. And better access transiting from the ramp to the center channel in the harbor.

I can’t thank our volunteers and employees enough.

Thank you Director Richard Wright. Thank you Maintenance Jason Jennings.

Thank you volunteers Sean Moretz, Julie Rhoads, and Tom Newman. You have been the most stellar helpers and community members. Not to mention new friends.
