🍀My awesome 4-Hers🍀brought in 30 jars of peanut butter this week, so I matched their 30 jars today! Join our Peanut Butter Challenge
Peanut butter is in high demand at food pantries:
✅it's shelf-stable.
✅it's nutrient dense-8 grams of protein in each 2 tbsp serving.
🥜Florida ranks 3rd in the U.S. for peanut production.
🥜Peanut butter is made from the varieties of peanuts grown in the FL Panhandle.
🥜Drop off donation at UF/IFAS Extension Washington County or the Washington County Public Library through October 30! We donate every jar to our local food pantries.

Peanut butter is made from the type of peanuts grown in many areas of Florida. Many of those acres are concentrated in the Panhandle region where the Peanut Butter Challenge originated in 2012.
Drop off your donation at UF/IFAS Extension Washington County this month.

When in doubt, THROW IT OUT!
✴If you experienced power loss and kept refrigerator and freezer doors tightly closed, food will be safe in the refrigerator for up to 4 hours.
✴Food in a full freezer will be kept safe for up to 48 hours and 24 hours if the freezer is half-full.
✅Throw away any food that has come in contact with water.
✅Throw away food that has an unusual smell, color, or texture.
✅The Smell Test isn't enough: Pathogens causing foodborne illness do not always give off an odor. If you aren't sure how long an item has been at room temperature, discard it.
‼️️Remember: When in doubt, throw it out!

Through a new initiative with Tractor Supply and Starlink, you can help support 4-H’ers and expand access to opportunities. Now through Nov 15, for every Starlink Kit purchased and registered at Tractor Supply, the first month’s subscription will support 4-H.
