Amvets WI Red Arrow Post 32 As one of several Veteran Service Organizations (VSO). AMVETS has a Letter of Agreement to support National Guard members and units.

As one of several Veteran Service Organizations (VSO) we also are members of the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council. As such we provide Funeral Honors for deceased veterans in and near Chippewa Falls upon request by funeral directors. We also provide educational services to schools on Veterans Day each year; assist in planning and executing parades throughout the year, especially Memorial Day events

; tend grave sites for Memorial Day; and provide other patriotic services as requested in keeping within our Patriotic Council Charter. Our AMVETS post also provides educational services through nationally recognized contests such as our Americanism Essay Contest, the Department of WI Speakers Bureau, and other events throughout the year. We take that responsibility seriously. We support Special Olympics, Boy Scouts, Veterans relief activities, local projects and agencies, Toys for Tots through the "Spirit of Christmas" campaign, and VA facilities in and near our area.

“RUGGED AND AS WEATHERED AS ME.”

As he said his final goodbye, Ret. Army Tank Commander Mark E. Brown told his son, “Don’t cover me with a brand new, pretty flag. I want one rugged and as weathered as me!”
Ret. Army Sergeant Zack Brown, of Marietta Oklahoma, honored his father’s request. Zack said he covered his dad with an old, dirty, and Tattered Flag.
Commander Brown passed away under that flag March 15, 2019.
Please join me in honoring him.
