River Source Family Center We are the family resource center in Chippewa County. We offer support to ALL families with children

River Source Family Center offers a wide array of programs and resources in order to support and strengthen parents with young children. On select Monday mornings we offer Movin' & Groovin' which includes learning and growth through music, song, and dance. On select Tuesday mornings we offer Play & Learns, which provide children with a chance to play and while enjoying interactive learning activit

es, quality time spent with their caregiver, and a story or two. Parents regularly have questions or concerns when raising young children. River Source Family Center provides support to families through a 1-on-1 home visiting program and parent education classes. We even offer a warm line in which parents can call in with questions and talk to a Parent Educator. We also offer families with babies ( 11 months and younger), Baby & Me playgroups that provide the chance to recieve support and resources within the community. Along with that, we offer Parent connection opportunities, Infant Massage, and home visiting programs that promote the healthy development of your child. A big thank you goes to both the David E. Wermund Memorial Fund and the Tzanakis Family Fund for their grants through the Community Foundation of Chippewa County to support Chippewa Valley Little Libraries in rural Chippewa County.

The Chippewa Valley Little Library (CVLL) project provides new, high-quality children’s books for low-income, rural families to build their at-home libraries and support literacy development of young children. Since this project began in June of 2023, over 4,100 children’s books have been gifted to families throughout Chippewa County!!

Chippewa County CVLLs are located in programs where low-income families receive supportive services and resources. There are currently 7 partner sites: Lake Holcombe Food Pantry, Rural WIC Clinics (in Bloomer, Cornell, and Stanley), Stanley Laundromat, Cornell Laundromat, WIC – Chippewa Falls office, Agnes’ Table, and Bloomer Community Clothes Closet. *Check out our Rural Story Time changes:
-Cornell has a date change - June 15th - at Cornell Library!
-Bloomer Story Times - NEW summer location at North City Park for June, July, and August
-Stanley Story Times - June will be at the Fire Station, different locations in July and August!

River Source playground is all set up for some outdoor play on Thursdays!
