Our Mission

is to meet and exceed our community’s expectations by maintaining clean, safe, and beautiful parks and facilities for all to enjoy for generations to come. Chippewa Falls Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department provides many great services to the citizens of Chippewa Falls:

Irvine Park: Open year round, Irvine Park offers many family activities - playgrounds, shelters for family reunions and gatherings, hiking trails, a splash pad area for kids to play at. The Irvine Park Zoo is 100% free for everyone, so stop by and enjoy one of Chippewa Falls true gems! The Irvine Park Welcome Center: Located next to our small mammals building, the Welcome Center offers a look at the history behind Irvine Park and provides youth and adult programing. We are also happy to say that Olson's Ice Cream is our exclusive concessions vendor! Erickson Park: One of our newest parks is located across the new bridge at Irvine Park and can be accessed through Jefferson street. Enjoy the beautiful views of Glen Loch. You can launch your canoes, kayaks, or boats off our fully accessible docking area. Riverfront Park: Another one of our newest parks located where Bridge Street and River Street meet. Chippewa Falls celebrates the arts by hosting special and major events, such as the Blues Fest and Music and Movies at the Park. Marshall Park: Located across the street from Irvine, Marshall Park offers many sporting activities for the community - lighted tennis courts, basketball courts, a skate park, Marshall field, a scenic hiking trail along Duncan Creek, the Outdoor Pool, the Community Garden, and the Rose Garden. The Outdoor Pool: Open during the summer months, weekdays from 12-6, weekends from 1-6 & the pool features a zero-depth area and a grass-beach area. Casper Park: Casper Park is a multi-sport complex featuring up to 4 full sized soccer fields, 4 softball fields, and a baseball field. Area high school softball teams practice and play at Casper, along with the Department's own recreational leagues. The Lumberjacks baseball team practices and plays at Casper's baseball field, and the Department's Youth Soccer program uses the soccer fields in the spring and summer.

The van will be touring most of the city, but organizers say it’s especially important to bring programs and attention to the smaller parks in your backyard.

You’ve probably noticed lots of activity at the Bernard F. Willi Outdoor Pool this week—and for good reason! Our lifeguards and swim instructors have been hard at work training to bring Chippewa Falls the best outdoor pool season yet ☀️🏊‍♂️

On Friday, we’ll be welcoming students from the Cornell School District for swim lessons as part of our instructor training. So if you see people in the pool this week—no worries, we’re just preparing! And if you notice children in the pool on Friday, they’re there with Cornell schools.

Can you come swim yet?
Not quite! The pool officially opens to the public at NOON on Saturday, June 6—and to celebrate, admission is FREE all day! 🎉

Still need to sign your kids up for swim lessons?
There’s still time! Our first outdoor session begins Monday. Learn more and register here:
