Each year the Community Foundation awards grants from designated endowment funds, which are established by donors to provide ongoing, annual support to specific nonprofits they care about most. By investing these funds for long-term growth, designated endowments create a reliable source of funding that nonprofits can count on every year.

Recently awarded a designated grant was: Chippewa Falls Parks & Recreation

"The improvements at Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls have made a meaningful difference for families in our community. Thanks to the support of generous donors and the Community Foundation, the park has become an even more welcoming, accessible, and enjoyable space for people of all ages.

One local family shared that the updated features have made their weekly visits something they truly look forward to—whether it’s safer play areas for their children or improved walking paths for grandparents to join in. These enhancements have strengthened the park’s role as a place where memories are made, connections are built, and the community comes together. Your support is helping ensure that Irvine Park remains a vibrant, inclusive destination for years to come. Thank you for investing in a space that brings so much joy and value to Chippewa Falls."

From a Foundation Fundholder:
"I’ve been involved in several different funds throughout the Community Foundation of Chippewa County. When establishing these funds, it’s been my belief that utilizing the Community Foundation is a great way of giving back to one’s community, supporting a favorite organization or helping needy individuals by a collective group of people who truly care.

When establishing a fund of our own, it was a meaningful way to continue to give to organizations that matter to my wife and I, even after our passing.
The leaders that organized the Foundation were visionaries and had a strong commitment to the organization and its purpose. They were dreamers who envisioned a plan to encourage and inspire philanthropy.

I have always been impressed with the professionalism of people who voluntarily serve the organization on the board, the top-quality staff, and sound financial practices of the organization.

Establishing a fund is a way to ensure gifts that keep on giving and I truly believe in and trust."
