As summer starts to wind down, we’re looking back at some of what we’ve been up to over the past few weeks! ☀️

Between fishing trips, breakfast outings, Freedom Fest, and other activities, our members have had plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy the summer.

🌞Please join us in celebrating Happy National Senior Citizens Day! Annually observed on August 21, this is the day to let the Senior in your life - a parent, friend, family member, or a veteran - know how much you care and appreciate them! We're grateful for all our members living with us at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in Chippewa Falls!

Today is Gorgeous Grandma Day, and we've got plenty of gorgeous grandmas to celebrate! 💜✨

When asked what they love most about being a grandmother, a few of our members shared these heartfelt memories:

💕 "I love all my grandkids. I have so many I can't even begin to count! My favorite memory is getting to hold each of them when they were first born. It's just so special."

💕 "I love making memories with my grandkids. They are so funny and always make me laugh. They definitely get their sense of humor from me! They have made me so grateful for these 99 years."

Cheers to 2️⃣5️⃣0️⃣ years! From patriotic decorations and festive treats, to music and shared memories, we enjoyed celebrating our nation's independence and the men and women who have helped protect it.

What better way to celebrate Father's Day than with America's favorite pastime? ⚾🍩

Yesterday our members enjoyed donuts for dads in the morning and then rounded out the afternoon at the Eau Claire Express baseball game!

To all the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures in our home and beyond, we wish you a very Happy Father's Day from all of us!

Today we proudly celebrate the birthday of the United States Army and Flag Day! During our recent happy hour, we honored the generations of soldiers who have served our nation with courage, dedication, and sacrifice. 🇺🇸

We are especially grateful for the 3️⃣2️⃣ Army Veterans who call our home their own. Thank you for your service and for the legacy you continue to share with us every day.
