UPDATE: Identities Released in Chisholm Shooting Incident
Chisholm, MN – The Chisholm Police Department is releasing the names of the individuals involved in the June 17th shooting incident.
The individuals who lost their lives in this tragic incident have been identified as Lindsey Kaye Adams, 30, of Chisholm, and Leo James Schweiss, 34, of Hibbing. The individual who was injured and is expected to recover is Ryder Presley Grove, 25, also of Hibbing.
This is a heartbreaking and deeply painful event. On behalf of the Chisholm Police Department, I want to extend my sincerest condolences to the families, friends, and loved ones of those involved. Both Lindsey and Leo had children, family, and friends who are now left grieving an unimaginable loss. This tragedy has touched our entire community.
While the investigation remains ongoing, tragically the preliminary information indicates this was most likely the result of an apparent murder-suicide. More details will be confirmed as autopsy results and evidence analysis are completed.
This tragic day reminds us all of the fragility of life and the importance of community. We stand with those who are grieving, and we will continue to support them as this investigation moves forward.
Further updates will be provided as appropriate.
Sincerely
James Vukad
Chief of Police
