Many of them have also kindly taken time out of their very busy days to invite in to share updates on and opportunities to support our partners and programs.

This week, our team had the chance to connect with changemakers from Mountain Iron-Buhl Public Schools, Cherry Tigers, Northeast Range Nighthawks, Tower Soudan Golden Eagles, Hibbing Schools, South Ridge Panthers, North Woods Grizzlies, and Chisholm Bluestreaks Elementary!

Today marked the official end of this summer's Meet Up and Chow Down program.

We are tallying the final number of free lunches served and the volunteer hours invested, but we don't need numbers to know the incredible difference our community members made in the lives of local children over the past three months.

Nine local veterans - all from different communities, representing different branches and eras - built a sauna this winter through 's United for Veterans initiative, and now it can be yours!

Contact Michelle Lampton at [email protected] or 218-215-2424 - or stop by Keewatin American Legion Post 452 - to get your $50 tickets while supplies last.

Five (5) $100 cash winners and one sauna winner will be announced September 30th at the Keewatin Legion. (Need not be present to win.)

Limited raffle tickets remain for the sauna built by local veterans through our program this winter.

📣 Please help spread the word: This is the last week of 's free summer lunch program in Babbitt, Cook, Ely, and Hibbing.

Meet Up and Chow Down sites have closed on varying dates this summer, based on different school start dates across our region. The program has already come to an end in Biwabik, Chisholm, Gilbert, Hoyt Lakes, International Falls, Keewatin, Mountain Iron, Nashwauk, and Virginia.

Our heartfelt thanks to the volunteers and communities that united to make this summer's program possible!
