Cub Scout Pack 21 Chittenango In Pack 21, Fun, Adventure, & Activities await. In Cub Scouting you'll have lots of fun, adventure, and activities with your den and pack. Cub Scouting is fun!

But there's more to it than that. Being a Cub Scout means you are a member of a worldwide youth movement that stands for certain values and beliefs. Cub Scouting is more than something to do. It's all about the child you are and the adult you will become. No matter what grade you are in, first through fifth, it can be a blast. Do you like to learn by doing? This is just the place. You can learn to

tie knots, set up a tent, shoot a bow and arrow (archery). Have you ever cooked a meal on a campfire? Sent a secret code to a buddy? Built a birdhouse? Hiked? Earn rewards for doing these things in Cub Scouts. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Pack 21 is always striving to do it's best to help our youth become productive and successful in the future.

We had a wonderful Crossover tonight celebrating our 6 amazing AOL scouts. They collectively completed 392 adventures, 72 awards, 41 nights camping, 91.85 miles hiking, 79 miles cycling, and 42.25 hours of community service. Erie Canal District Leatherstocking Council A huge thank you to the William H Cain American Legion post 1287 for being our chartering organization, Chittenango Schools for the use of the middle school, and Sweet Intoxication for the amazing cake.

It was a great pinewood derby today!!! 24 scouts made some amazing cars and raced with great sportsmanship!!! Congratulations to our winners with their speedy cars and scout spirit! A HUGE thank you to Cub Scout Pack 16 of Cazenovia for sharing their track and leaders with us to assist us in running out derby today. They were truly Helpful, Friendly, and Kind!! Scouts have been busy this fall. Mario themed pack meeting in October and lots of fun activities at the den meetings. November’s pack meeting had scouts showing their citizenship by making Veteran’s Day placemats for the American Legion to show their appreciation. Our AOL’s also participated in Scouting for Food with Troop 33 and had a campout at Camp Woodland this past weekend.

Current and interested Cub scouts, age Kindergarten-5th are invited to Pop-In for popsicles and popcorn with the pack. We’ll have snacks and popcorn fundraising packets as well as our calendar for the year and information packets for any new scouts! Informal get together where kids can play on the playground and have a snack! All are welcome!!

An exciting weekend adventure. Some of our scouts (including some from Troop 43) ventured out to the Cobleskill, NY area this weekend. Several camped out for the weekend, and even more joined in for a trip to Howe Caverns. After lunching a handful also took on the Vroman’s Nose Historic trail. A great time was had by all!!

July was so much fun for the pack! Popsicles in the park, summer camp, Herkimer Diamond Mining and finally the first hike of our new Monthly Hiking club down at Nichols Pond. There are still a couple more summertime activities coming up. Check out summer events calendar pack members!
