Town of Chittenden Vermont

Town of Chittenden Vermont Welcome to the Town of Chittenden, chartered in 1780. The town was named for Vermont's first Governor, Thomas Chittenden.

In 1816, half of the adjacent Town of Philadelphia was added, making Chittenden, to this day, the largest town in the state. Town Clerk and Treasurer: Alyssa Reynolds
