It’s home to one of the largest middle-Pleistocene fossil finds in North America—from Columbian mammoths and saber-toothed cats to giant sloths. Irvingtonian Middle-Pleistocene fossils (700,000 years old) are on display at the Center across the street from the Fairmead dig site. Columbian mammoth, saber tooth cats, sloths, dire wolves, horse, camels and 37 species are on display. Students may uncover and identify replica fossils in the Mock dig.

Today's the day!

Come on by the Fossil Discovery Center for 1/2 off entry to the museum and our first ice cream social.
Just to clarify,
You do not need to pay entry to the museum if you just plan on getting ice cream. However, the ice cream must be paid for inside the museum.
We hope to see you all there!

Well bring those dinos to our dino wash station during our Mammoth Orange Ice Cream Social on June 20th from 11 am to 3 pm. Don't forget to get a sweet ice cream treat once you're done cleaning your scaley friends. We hope to see you and your dino pals there.
