We are grateful to have been part of the United Responder Shield ceremony alongside our fellow responders from across the New River Valley. It was a meaningful opportunity to remember those we have lost, honor their sacrifice, and recognize the men and women who continue to answer the call to serve our community.

We will never forget your sacrifice.

Today we pause and honor the life and sacrifice of Corporal Eric Sutphin, who lost his life on this day-20 years ago. Cpl. Sutphin made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting this community and we should never forget that today or any day.

What an awesome, fun-filled day! Today was all about our community, celebrating history, and being together. We had a great time participating in today's race, Touch a Truck, and Heritage Day! Thanks to all those who came out and made today great!!

Today kicked off our first class of our Citizens Police Academy! We are so excited to have 11 wonderful citizens of Christiansburg participating in our class this year!

It was all smiles (maybe a few smirks from our 9th graders) for our SROs, students and staff heading back to school today! The relationships we build with students and staff helps us both in and out of the classroom.

We are grateful to our Montgomery County Public Schools partners for all the work they do and proud to serve in our Christiansburg schools!

This weekend the CPD Citizens Support Group hosted and we participated in the annual fallen officer softball tournament. Great times with good people, great officers and wonderful memories🥎💙
