Work is completed on the front entrances to Christoval. The Christoval VFD with assistance of the local girl scouts troop have cleaned and replanted the flower beds. Notice the new plants and new rock. They look awesome!

In 2020 the Christoval VFD took over the mowing and tree trimming maintenance from TXDOT. We contract Time Out Lawn Care (Roy Fava of Christoval) to mow these entrances (north and south) on an as needed basis. We also have the trees trimmed once a year to improve safety at each entrance.

Please keep the Christoval VFD in mind when we send out our fall donation letters. It's donations that allow us to do this project as well as others such as provide the Community Center to the citizens of Christoval.

We do a lot of things besides fight fires and we are proud to do them. We appreciate your continued support.

******Attention Christoval area residents***** We have been advised that the Matterhorn Express pipeline will begin filling with natural gas in the next few days north of Christoval. They will be releasing a small amount of gas as the line fills.

Please know that if you smell a faint smell of gas in that area that there is no reason for alarm. We are in communication with the pipeline company and will advise you of any information that is passed to us.

Crazy afternoon. Definitely one of the hottest days we have ever fought fire on. Temperatures are extreme and dangerous.

Special thanks to Wall,Texas Volunteer Fire Department Dove Creek Volunteer Fire Department and the Texas A&M Forest Service local team and strike team. Couldn't do it without yalls help.

Prayers for rain and cooler temperatures.

Firefighters from across the Concho Valley were called to a large house fire off of Highway 277 Monday afternoon.
