Under the hot Wyoming sun, firefighters finished their last day of wildland firefighters training today. With the help of area instructors, firefighters learned not only how to fight fire but how to stay safe. Thanks to our local ladies for helping cook and serve a nice hot lunch for everyone.

Tomorrow, June 14th the Chugwater Fire District will be hosting a wildland fire practical class starting at 8a.m
We will have several fire trucks and personnel working along the Diamond Road west of Chugwater. Also, there will be live fire on the ground. At times smoke will be seen in the area.

Chugwater Fire hosted Wildland Fire Training for firefighters in this area. Several fire districts participated. THANK YOU Chugwater Chili for donating lunch on both days. THANK YOU PVCS for allowing us to use your facility. Saturday, the training will continue with a practical class west of Chugwater.

The Chugwater Fire Protection District covers parts of three counties including twenty-seven miles of interstate. We respond to all types of emergency calls. The fire trucks we currently use to run calls with range in age from 1978 to 2008. We operate off of a mill levy collected from taxes. The tax money we receive is put to good use protecting lives and property.
