On Memorial Day, we pay tribute to those who have given their lives in defense of our nation, those who have served or are currently serving, and the families who stand strong and sacrifice alongside them.

As we pause to enjoy today, let us remember these brave defenders of freedom. We will never forget them.

Have a happy, relaxing, and MEMORABLE day!

The gala is a formal fundraiser that is done for the Flying Leatherneck Museum at MCA Miramar. Major General Bob Butcher bought two extra tickets to be utilized by a wounded warrior; he requested assistance from the 1207 Detachment to recommend one. Michael Spivy is a true hero and has been awarded a Purple Heart for his action in Iraq, he is an amputee. He is remodeling his house all by himself - with just one arm. He’s quite a marine!
