🚨 FLOCK SAFETY CAMERAS HELP CVPD ARREST ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT 🚨

On Tuesday night, a man was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of Bayside Park, in what investigators believe was a random attack, not a targeted robbery. The suspect fled in a white Volkswagen Jetta driven by a female accomplice. The suspect and vehicle matched the description from a similar robbery at the same park just days earlier.

While officers searched the area, they monitored Flock license plate reader alerts. Nearly an hour later, Flock cameras detected the suspect vehicle returning to the area. Officers quickly located the vehicle, conducted a high-risk traffic stop, and safely took both occupants into custody.

The victim positively identified the suspect, and officers recovered a firearm along with the victim’s stolen property from inside the vehicle. ☑️

Technology doesn’t replace good police work—it enhances it. In this case, Flock Safety helped officers quickly locate the suspect vehicle, leading to an arrest and the recovery of stolen property and a firearm.
