What is happening with your fire protection?
Well the year is almost half over. Have you accomplished half of what you planned this year? Traditionally it is difficult to meet the goals we set for each year. I know for me I am usually behind my set goals, maybe because or circumstances get in the way. Sometime in an effort to catch up I rush things or take shortcuts.
The lesson may be that, Sometimes the prudent thing to do from a safety standpoint is to slow down and redirect rather than to press on harder and try to force things to get done. When we try to play catch up or if we short cut safety in the name of “getting it done” we run the added risk of injury or problems. We must continue to view safety as the primary. In every situation we encounter, safety must be considered. Granted as we have stated at times a calculated risk is called for, but it needs to be supported by facts and every safety precaution taken.
Maybe we should not look at what we have not been able to accomplish and focus on what we can safely accomplish for the rest of the year.
