🎉 Our 5th graders had an amazing time today on their last big field trip of the year — a visit to the Science Museum of Virginia! 🧪🔬 From hands-on experiments to exciting exhibits, the students explored the wonders of science and made some unforgettable memories. What a fantastic way to wrap up the school year! 🌟🚌

In-School Vaccine Clinics:

The Central Shenandoah Health District will be holding in-school vaccine clinics for rising 7th and 12th graders within Augusta County Public School District this spring. The types of vaccines available at these clinics are:

HPV, Meningococcal ACWY, and Tdap.

The Code of Virginia requires children entering daycare, public, and private schools to give proof of vaccination or an exemption form before enrolling in school. Parents are not required to be present but are welcome. High School students will be escorted to the Middle school clinic.

Clinic Dates are as follows:

Riverheads and Stuarts Draft Middle; April 11
Buffalo Gap Middle - April 29
Stewart and Wilson Middle- May 2

CALENDAR CHANGES DUE TO WEATHER:

At the ACPS School Board Budget Work session on February 20, 2025, several members of the Board expressed concerns about the loss of seat time/ instructional time, especially for 2nd semester, due to our inclement weather days in January and February. Therefore, they approved a motion to add back instructional time with the follow revisions to the 2024-2025 ACPS Calendar:

April 7, 2025 will now be a REGULAR school day instead of the scheduled Teacher Workday/School Professional Development Day. Additionally, April 18, 2025 will now be a FULL school day instead of a 1:00 early dismissal.
