🚁⚡️ The Cibolo Police Department is proud to announce that we have been selected as a recipient of the GVEC Power Up Grant!

Through this grant, our department was able to significantly enhance our Drone Program by outfitting two patrol vehicles with TruckVault drone storage systems. These specialized vaults allow our drone operators to deploy drones more efficiently and respond more quickly when seconds matter. Additionally, the grant provided us with a new DJI M4T drone, immediately expanding our aerial capabilities and strengthening our ability to support public safety operations.

Our Drone Program is utilized in a variety of missions, including searching for missing persons, documenting crime and crash scenes, assisting in critical incidents, and providing officers with enhanced situational awareness, all while increasing efficiency and safety for both our officers and community.

This achievement would not have been possible without the incredible support of our Cibolo Police Department Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association. Their dedication, initiative, and hard work in pursuing this grant opportunity directly resulted in these valuable additions to our department.

The GVEC Power Up Grant Program invests in organizations and projects that strengthen and improve the communities GVEC serves. We are grateful for GVEC's continued commitment to public safety and community partnerships.

Thank you to our Alumni Association of the Cibolo Citizen's Police Academy Association and GVEC for your partnership and support of the Cibolo Police Department. Together, we continue to invest in innovative tools and technology that help us better serve and protect the City of Cibolo.

The men and women of the Cibolo Police Department extend our heartfelt condolences and unwavering support to the Cibolo Fire Department and Fire Chief Troncoso following the passing of his beloved mother, Romanita Guel Troncoso.

In public safety, we are more than colleagues, we are family. During this difficult time, we stand beside Chief Troncoso, his family, and our brothers and sisters at the Fire Department as they grieve this tremendous loss.

We ask our community to keep Chief Troncoso and his loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. May they find comfort in the cherished memories they shared and in the support of those who care deeply for them. ❤️

The Cibolo Police Department HEAT Unit, in partnership with the Texas Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority (MVCPA), is hosting a FREE Catalytic Converter Etching Event to help protect your vehicle from theft.

Catalytic converter theft continues to impact vehicle owners across Texas. By having your catalytic converter etched with a unique identifying number, law enforcement can more easily identify stolen property and deter thieves.

UPDATE: The Roadway is now clear and open.

🚧 Traffic Alert – Tolle Road Closure 🚧

The Cibolo Police Department is currently on scene in the 700 block of Tolle Road after a dump truck left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Roadrunner Towing and GVEC are working to safely remove the vehicle and secure the damaged utility pole. Due to the extent of the incident, Tolle Road is closed in both directions at this time.

Please avoid the area and use alternate routes while crews work to clear the scene and make repairs. We will provide updates as they become available.

🚧 FM 1103 PROJECT UPDATE: TxDOT will close FM 1103 overnight on Thursday, June 11, 2026, to install permanent stormwater culverts under FM 1103, located between Green Valley Road and Weidner Road, to address recurring flooding at this location.

From TxDOT: Lane closures on FM 1103 between Green Valley Road and Weidner Road are scheduled overnight on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists should expect delays and consider an alternate route.

Drivers traveling through the area can detour by heading southbound on FM 1103 from Weidner Road to FM 78, then westbound on FM 78 to Roy Richard Drive. From there, travel northbound on Roy Richard Drive to Interstate 35, then continue northbound on I-35 to the FM 1103 exit.

Motorists are urged to use caution, follow posted signage, and allow extra travel time.

🎉 Congratulations to Our New Sergeants! 🎉

The Cibolo Police Department is proud to announce the promotion of three outstanding officers to the rank of Sergeant.

👏 Sergeant Starr has been promoted to Patrol Sergeant.
👏 Sergeant Valdez has been promoted to Patrol Sergeant.
👏 Sergeant Dahlstein has been promoted to School Resource Officer (SRO) Sergeant.

These promotions reflect their dedication, professionalism, leadership, and commitment to serving the citizens of Cibolo. Throughout their careers, each has demonstrated a passion for public service and a willingness to go above and beyond for both our community and fellow officers.
