๐Ÿš” PROTECT WHAT MATTERS ๐Ÿš”

Vehicle burglaries and thefts can happen in seconds, but a few simple steps can help keep your vehicle and valuables safe.

๐Ÿ”’ Lock your doors and roll up your windows
๐Ÿš— Park in well-lit, visible areas
๐Ÿ”‘ Never leave your keys or key fob inside your vehicle
๐ŸŽ’ Remove valuables from plain sight
๐Ÿ“ž Report suspicious activity immediately

The Cibolo Police Department is proud of our partnership with the Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority (MVCPA) as we work together to reduce vehicle crime and keep our community safe.

Together, we can stop crime before it starts.

On May 10, 2026, Cibolo Police officers responded to a FLOCK Safety alert involving a vehicle connected to a felony warrant. Utilizing technology as part of the departmentโ€™s proactive crime reduction strategy, officers quickly located the vehicle in the 700 block of Cibolo Valley Drive and safely took the suspect, Sean Walton, into custody without incident.

Walton was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Burnet County for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. He was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 and Possession of Ma*****na following the arrest.

The investigation is connected to a May 8 incident in Austin involving a shooting victim who later succumbed to their injuries on May 14. Walton has since been charged with Murder and remains in custody.

This case highlights how technology, combined with strong interagency communication and coordination, continues to assist law enforcement agencies in identifying and apprehending violent offenders.

The Cibolo Police Department would also like to recognize Sgt. Fennesyโ€™s shift for their proactive police work and coordinated efforts that contributed to the safe apprehension of the suspect.

We thank our regional partners for their assistance and extend our condolences to the victimโ€™s family and loved ones.

Sometimes the people we serve end up serving us right back. ๐Ÿ’™

After Ofc. Jahanara finished handling a call for service, he discovered his patrol vehicle had a flat tire. Before long, community members David and Cory stepped in to save the day, getting the tire changed and the unit back on the road faster than a NASCAR pit crew! ๐Ÿ๐Ÿš”

As police officers, our job is to help protect and serve our community, but today the community was there to help us.

Thank you, David and Cory, for your kindness, support, and willingness to lend a hand. Moments like these remind us why Cibolo is such a special place to call home.
