Our office is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM to do Drivers License and Vehicle Transactions.

All individuals and businesses whose last name, or business name, begins with the letters J through Z (with renewal months from July through December) are advised of the following:

A $5.00 fee should be deducted from each vehicle tag renewal. For example, if you are renewing four vehicle tags, you should deduct $5.00 per tag, for a total deduction of $20.00 from the amount due.

You should receive your renewal notice from the state approximately 45 days prior to your expiration date.

Under SB325, county treasurers were authorized to add a $5.00 transaction fee. I take full responsibility for this fee being applied to Gray County Residents. If you visit our office in person, the fee will automatically be removed and your adjusted total will be provided.

If you are mailing in your renewal, please deduct $5.00 for each tag when calculating your payment. If you renew your tags online through Kanpay, the $5.00 fee cannot be removed at the time of payment; however, once your renewal is processed, our office will issue a $5.00 refund per tag.

Again, I take full responsibility for this matter and will ensure that no additional fees are incurred by Gray County Residents.

If your last name begins with T, V, or W and you have not renewed your registration you need to do so before 4pm on Wednesday to avoid having expired tags Monday morning.
