This vintage image, from the Cincinnati Highway Department dated March 26, 1941, is of Erie Avenue and Brotherton Road with bridge over the Duck Creek looking west.

Interesting day back in 1917 for the post office staff of the Village of California. Mail carrier Arthur Ryall and postmistress Lottie B. Steinmetz had to retreat to the post office roof as Ohio River floodwaters surrounded the building.

This vintage image of Charles and Stella Duckett, along with daughter Alice, on Salem Pike was taken in 1915. The trestle of the CG&P crossed over Salem Pike about a fifth of a mile west of the intersection of Salem Pike and Eversole Road. The CG&P closed in 1935 and the trestle was removed.
