CRC Goes Camping! 🌲🔥🚴‍♀️

Cincinnati Recreation Commission took 11 brave teens to Miami Whitewater Forest to celebrate the end of the school year in nature. We camped for two nights and explored all that Miami Whitewater Forest has to offer with the helpful guidance of Great Parks of Hamilton County interpreters.

The teens enjoyed campfire meals, competitive kickball games, kayaking and canoeing, and creeking, all while sleeping in tents.
A huge shoutout to the Dater Foundation Grant, Great Parks of Hamilton County, and our amazing staff for making this experience possible. We’re all excited for the next outdoor adventure!

Winton Hills campers are having a blast while leveling up their Scout skills! 🏕️🎣🐔

From earning badges to pitching tents like pros, these campers are learning way more than just outdoor adventures. They’ve talked about bullying, practiced being kind and supportive friends, and discovered the importance of sportsmanship and respecting others.

Along the way, they’ve learned about chickens, fishing, teamwork, and what it truly means to live by Scout values, being trustworthy, helpful, friendly, courteous, brave, reverent, and always cheerful! 🌟

Looking for a fun and meaningful way to spend your summer Saturdays? 🎉🙌 You’ve come to the right place! The Cincinnati Recreation Commission is looking for energetic volunteers to join our Rec@Nite team this summer!

Help create safe, exciting Saturday night experiences for teens ages 13–17 at recreation centers across Cincinnati, including Evanston, Hirsch, Lincoln, and Winton Hills. Volunteers will help with event setup and breakdown, supervise games and activities, mentor youth, and bring positive vibes all summer long 💙✨

🗓 Volunteer shifts are typically Saturdays from 4:30–10 p.m.
🎶 Special community concert event at Laurel Playground on August 1 from 3:30–8:30 p.m.
👥 Group volunteer opportunities and alternative shifts may also be available!
👍 Must be 18+
