Happy Tuesday!

This week we’ve got an interactive Train Your Brain!

The three breath rule can be implemented in all aspects of our daily lives. Taking a moment to pause, breath and evaluate how we want to respond to situations in which emotions may be heightened can be incredibly valuable.

Try this exercise out this week, and see how quickly your emotions regulate!

Happy Thursday everyone!

It’s been a minute but we are BACK with our participant spotlight series! And this week we’ve got a heavy hitter with our man Paul.

If you ask any one of Paul’s friends, they’d say he’s the funniest guy around. Full of energy and love, he can put a smile on anyone’s face. Ever having a bad day? Well Paul can help with that. We are lucky to be able to experience Paul’s joy and wit day in and day out, and we certainly don’t take it for granted. Thank you for being you, Paul. We appreciate you! 💙

🧠 It’s Train Your Brain Tuesday, and this week we’ve got a hard one to master, but an incredibly important tool to work towards!

Let’s add one little word to our vocabulary today — YET!

Our brains are capable of learning and adapting throughout our lives! Through a process called neuroplasticity, practice helps strengthen the connections in our brains as we develop new skills and habits.

This week, try changing “I can't do this” to “I can't do this yet.”

A small shift in self-talk can encourage us to keep trying, embrace challenges, and give ourselves grace while learning something new.
Remember: You don't have to be perfect to make progress! 🌱💙

See you next week for the recap! 💙🙂

Happy Tuesday everyone! Let’s train those brains!!!

Sometimes the first step towards feeling better isn’t solving the problem, it’s putting words to what’s happening.

When we name an emotion we give our brain a little more information to work with. This simple practice can help create some distance from an intense feeling and make it easier to respond rather than react.

No judgement. No need to immediately fix it. Just notice, name and give yourself a moment💙

It’s Tuesday!! Let’s learn about our brains 🧠

When you feel an overwhelming amount of emotions, sometimes our brains immediately resort to action.

But more often than not, taking a moment to understand how you feel, is the best first step you can take. You don’t have to solve the feeling immediately, but simply identifying it is the first step towards regulating it.

Next time, before you act, take some time to understand how you feel, and why you feel that way. It might just help!

It’s Train Your Brain Tuesday! So let’s learn!

Here at CSI, we dance/walk it out all the time, and this is why:

Your body and brain are constantly communicating, and sometimes, changing what your body is doing can help change how your brain feels. Incorporating movement into your life when stressed can help regulate emotions and remind your brain it is present and okay!

Today’s challenge for you: Take 2 minutes to move when you notice yourself feeling stressed or overwhelmed. Your brain just might thank you for it. 💙🧠
