🏗️🇺🇸 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District continues to deliver critical military construction projects that strengthen readiness and improve quality of life for our nation's Soldiers.

At Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, the Louisville District is serving as project manager for the fourth and final training barracks in the new 1600 block complex, which is nearing completion.

Once complete, the four-story, approximately 60,000-square-foot facility will provide modern lodging for up to 400 Soldiers supporting major exercises, annual training, mobilization, and other missions at Fort McCoy. The project includes modern living quarters, supporting infrastructure, enhanced security features, and energy-efficient systems designed to serve Soldiers for years to come.

The Louisville District has supported the development of the new barracks complex since 2017, when the team began designing the first facility. All four barracks were designed in-house by USACE, with lessons learned from each project applied to the next to improve project delivery.

The completion of the new barracks complex represents a significant investment in Fort McCoy's training infrastructure, replacing facilities dating back to World War II with modern, sustainable spaces that improve quality of life for Soldiers and support military readiness for generations to come. 💪🇺🇸

Some promises are written in ink. Ours is written in earth and steel.

For 250 years, Army engineers have built America's way forward. Across rivers. Through conflict. After disaster. Into recovery.
