We are so thrilled that the The New York Times mentioned Found House IHN.

Pet ownership and homelessness is an overlooked national issue.

It is not uncommon for families to be turned away from shelters because their animal has no place to stay.

Up to 25% of people experiencing homelessness have at least one pet - and often choose to sleep in cars or on streets rather than choose separation.

Found House IHN is the first shelter in the region to adopt a pet inclusive program.

📚🚨 SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE 📚🚨

We’ve received over 100 requests for backpacks from students in Found House programs. So, we decided to kick off the summer with our annual backpack drive!

School supplies list:

🎒 Backpacks (new or gently used)

📚 Binders, paper, and dividers

📓 Spiral notebooks (1-subject and 3-subject)

✏️ Pens, pencils, highlighters, crayons, and markers

🗂️ Flashcards, Post-it notes, and index cards

🗓️ Planners and calendars for the 2025–2026 academic year

Whiteout and erasers

Thumb drives (new and unopened)

🎁 Gift Cards – value $25–$50 – for groceries and miscellaneous expenses (haircuts, uniforms, calculators) - This includes Kroger, Amazon, Target, Walmart, and Great Clips

To help us meet this goal, please drop off donations at 990 Nassau Street, Cincinnati, OH 45026. Items are needed before the end of July!

💛 Benefiting: Found House Pet Support Program

Every pint helps keep pets with their owners through the crisis of homelessness. Two beers will be renamed for the evening with $1 donated per sale. All other beer sales donate $0.50.

Found House IHN's Pet Support program provides temporary pet shelter, supplies, support, and housing search assistance for pet owners experiencing homelessness.

We are currently 14 storage bins short for our clients and would love your help filling this gap.

We were SO IMPRESSED with the generous outpouring of Easter baskets brought in by members of the community over the last two weeks!

Everyone was so responsive! We were able to completely fulfill the needs of both children in shelter and in our long-term housing program. 🐣
