Our friends at Petals Off The Pike are winding down their season with some terrific deals through Sunday. if you're a procrastinator gardener who is just now thinking about putting some plants into the ground this is for you! Last year they donated hundreds of their leftover plants to community gardens around Cincinnati, including ours. Olivia and staff are truly good people over there at Petals.

Free native plants! We got mostly coneflower, also foxglove beardtongue and spiderwort. More will be added later, so if you miss out, stay tuned!

This is pretty exciting…..we are starting a seed exchange at the garden! We’ve been blessed with many donations of seed packets that we are welcoming the community to take. At some point in the summer we will transition from offering seed packets to accepting donations of seeds from your flowers, produce and such, completing the seed to seed cycle! (The exchange might look a little different as we clean this up, but for now we wanted to get these seed packets out ASAP).

Also, we have some extra tomato starts that our gardeners won’t be using, help yourself! These are the “Delicious” variety!

Calling all Mt. Washington Residents!

This Saturday, February 21st from 2-4pm is the Kickoff meeting for Mt. Washington's Neighborhood Plan Update! This will be an open house-style community event with interactive stations for you to share your feedback about what the future of Mt. Washington should look like, and find out what to expect during the ongoing plan update. The school gym will be open to kids while meeting activities are going on and there will be light refreshments.

We are hearing some folks are asking around about this years’ season. First, yes, we are gardening again, this is our 10th season! We are truly grateful for the support of the Masonic Lodge, as the garden sits on their property.

We first reserve the private beds for last years gardeners. They have until March 31 to notify us if they are returning. Only then will we know how many beds are available to new gardeners.

There is a waitlist for the beds. If you would like to be added email [email protected]. There are always more people wanting beds than are available, but all is not lost. The large bed in the front is for anyone to use, it’s first come, first served. Stay tuned for more info as we get closer to Spring.
