This summer, we chose peace. Together. 💜

The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati and Women Helping Women are proud to close out the Summer of Peace campaign — a community-wide commitment to prevention, belonging, and stronger families across Greater Cincinnati.

Thank you to everyone who followed along, shared, and showed up for the people around them this summer.

Today, on Women’s Equality Day, we’re celebrating what’s possible when women show up for one another.

It’s at the heart of our mission and in our name: Women Helping Women.

Because equality is built when women are heard, believed, supported, and empowered. It’s built when we make space for one another and work together to break down the barriers that keep people from feeling safe, liberated, and able to thrive.

To the inspiring women pictured here, thank you for reminding us of the power of women supporting women.

Thank you to Meggan Thompson, President & CEO of Dress for Success Cincinnati, Rickell Howard Smith, President & CEO of YWCA Greater Cincinnati , Camilla Worrell, Executive Director of the Women's Fund of The Greater Cincinnati Foundation, and Game Day!

Last Thursday, the State Department requested WHW to meet with the World Affairs Council of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky! Delegates from Thailand, China, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Chile, Egypt, Germany, Guyana, Lebanon, Romania, Solomon Islands, and Sri Lanka attended.

Our team shared more about our services, with a special focus on DVERT and our partnership with the Cincinnati Police Department.

Thank you for visiting and learning more about our work to empower survivors and strengthen our community!

As kids head back to school, let's not forget: academic success starts with emotional wellness. 🩵

A child who feels safe, connected to caring adults, and supported when things get hard — that child is ready to learn.

The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati and Women Helping Women are here all year, not just in summer.

"So often survivors are told 'find the car, find the transportation, deal with daycare, deal with your workplace issues, and come find a service provider.' That's not realistic for survivors in trauma."
