Our first experience with the Anderson Township Garden Tour was a success! Thanks to our members who volunteered their time to give garden tours, pass out information about the senior center and serve lemonade to our guests. About 50 people came to see our herb, vegetable, and pollinator gardens, which are planned, planted and maintained by our Garden Club. It was a fun day for all!

Where we started- to where we are today! Our garden club is amazing! Our tomatoes and peppers are popping, our herbs are huge, and bees are buzzing by our many pollinator plants. Support our gardeners by stopping by the Senior Center tomorrow between 10 and 4. We are located behind Fire Station #6, near Dunkin’ Donuts. We’ll have lemonade for you and free zinnia seeds, while they last.

We are one stop on the Anderson Township Garden and Historical Home Tour, a yearly free event. Make plans to also stop by the Miller-Leuser Log Home on Clough Pike near Bartels, the Urban Farm on Bartels, and the Heritage House Arboretum at Eight Mile and Forest Road. We will have maps at the Senior Center or you can go to

Thank you so much to Leaf to Ash Cigar Lounge for the very generous donation to our center! Both of Chet and Suzi King’s parents have attended the Anderson Township Senior Center. The Kings save empty cigar boxes and sell them for $2 to crafters and collectors. The Anderson Township Fire and Rescue Department has also received a donation from the Kings. Thank you for supporting our center and our community!

What a day! The Hamilton County 513Relief Bus and twelve social service agencies were visited by well over two hundred guests at our center today. Medical screenings and information tables provided individual support for health care, veterans benefits, utility bills, vision supports, and much more. We were flexible with the weather, fit everyone in our center, and had a productive and enjoyable day. Thank you to all participants!

Here comes the bus!

The Hamilton County 513 Relief Bus will be at our center tomorrow, June 9th from 10:15 am to 2 pm. Because of the heat and predicted rain, we will have social service agency tables set up inside our building.

These changes will be in effect on Tuesday: Silver Sneakers class will end at 10:00; Beginning Watercolors class is cancelled; Better Balance is cancelled. Other programs and lunch will not change.

We ask our members to park at the Forestville Baptist Church for this special event. Thank you!
