Every young person deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and build a successful future. That's why Cincinnati Youth Collaborative's Board of Directors has endorsed four local education and children's services levies on the Nov. 3 ballot, including Hamilton County Children's Services (Issue 10) and school funding measures for Cincinnati Public Schools, Winton Woods City Schools and North College Hill City Schools.

Serving more than 4,500 students each year, C*C sees firsthand the impact that strong schools, caring adults and supportive community services have on young people. By supporting these levies, we're investing in brighter futures for students, stronger families and a thriving community for all.

Recently, 63 of our 10th grade Finance and Marketing pathway students at Withrow University High School participated in a presentation from the CPA firm, Deloitte.

Deloitte is one of the "Big 4" Accounting and Consulting firms, employing more than 400,000 employees across 150 countries. The American Institute of CPAs reports that only 2% are African American and 5% LatinX as compared to 14% and 19% of the US population. With 75% of CPAs at or above retirement age, the job outlook for accounting and auditing is growing.

This November, 20 Withrow students will have the opportunity to visit Deloitte's downtown office and further explore Accounting & Consulting as a career!

Every class, every piece of advice, every expectation, and every effort you make each day contributes to preparing our students for a brighter future.

One thing to remember about mentorship, the student isn't the only one who grows.

Mentors learn, listen, gain new perspectives, and build meaningful connections while helping a young person navigate their own journey.

One relationship can make a big impact on both the mentor and the mentee.
